Holidaymakers planning a trip to Singapore next month may wish to sample the events and activities on offer at one of the region's biggest art celebrations.

The Singapore Arts Festival, which runs from May 14th to June 13th, serves up a lively and entertaining mix of theatre, music, dance and visual arts.

During the month-long event, visitors will find the city bustling with culture and activity as local and international artists entertain the crowds at various venues.

This year, the festival centres on the theme of Between You and Me, which aims to bring people closer to the arts and reach out to audiences of all backgrounds.

Most of the action takes place at the Esplanade Theatre, which plays host to plays including Lady Macbeth, as well as a series of dance dramas and musicals.
