Studio M Hotel welcomes Piero Lissoni in its second year and foresees a vibrant year ahead

Singapore 1 Oct 2011 – Studio M Hotel, the first urban lifestyle hotel, boasting contemporary designer chic and functionality welcomes Pierro Lissoni, Studio M’s designer today to the hotel over a year after the hotel opened.

Designed by renowned Italian style maestro, Pierro Lissoni, Studio M’s classic interiors exude quintessential Italian clean lines, clear materials and subtle colour palettes. Guests can select from different types of loft rooms and enjoy fuss-free access to wireless connectivity throughout the hotel.

Studio M comprises 360 rooms with four categories of Loft Rooms – Studio, Premier, Executive and Patio. Each room offers a loft concept where the work and sleep areas are separated into two floors, giving guests their own private sanctuary without compromising comfort and style. Guests are made to feel at home within their loft rooms with views of the vibrant city scene from their rooms.

Each loft showcases elegantly restrained accommodation with wireless connectivity. Savvy travellers will enjoy the hotel’s unique open-air tropical deck, which offers private spaces in relaxed landscaped surroundings for both business meetings and leisurely conversations with friends. Studio M’s locale within the vibrant Robertson Quay and Mohamed Sultan entertainment district, offers abundant dining and leisure options.

Studio M concept appeals to smart business travellers and urbanites who appreciate the modern clean lines of the hotel. Contemporary, modern, clean lines contrast with private cabanas set amidst greenery, creating little nooks for private retreats. Aside from local Singaporeans who wish to have their private weekend getaway, guests at the hotel consist of those from USA, Hong Kong, UK and Australia.

Ms Esther Wai, General Manager of Studio M said, “We are pleased to have Pierro Lissoni here today and his presence marks a start to another significant and exciting year for Studio M. Studio M’s guest profile consists of those in their 20’s – 30’s. Our lofts are the right choice for today’s travellers. 2010 has had a performance well above 85%. 2011 see another year of remarkable performance. In addition, Studio M has been the official hotel for several regional events including Star Creation Asia’s Fashion Future 2011 and hosting the stays of several F1 media from around the region.”

Studio M has a selection of three food and beverage outlets:

Espressamente illy (Level 1) – This is the closest encounter our guests can have with Italian café culture in Singapore. Trained baristas will carefully prepare expresso coffees with the highest grade of gourmet coffee beans sources from exotic locations around the world.

Malted Milk (Level 1) – Set within an outdoor setting offering guests probably the largest offering of local and international beers, guests and friends can choose to chill and relax here with a couple of drinks, hearty pizza and scrumptious snacks.

TaKé (Level 2) – TaKé is the perfect place for an “under-the-stars” alfresco experience with tapas and cocktails.
